Privacy Policy

GC Web Studio, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website gcwebstudio.com and the client account area within it (together, the “Service”). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the Service, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Definitions

  • Service: The website gcwebstudio.com and its client account area, operated by GC Web Studio, LLC.

When you contact us, request a quote, or open a client account, we may collect:

  • First and last name
  • Company name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Billing address
  • Account credentials (your password is stored only in hashed form)
  • Payment information (processed securely, see Section 5)

Usage Data

We automatically collect data about how the Service is accessed and used, including your IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time and date of visits, time spent on pages, and diagnostic data from our servers.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service and understand how it is used:

  • Session Cookies: Required to operate the Service during your visit, including signing in to a client account.
  • Preference Cookies: To remember your settings, such as your cookie choice.
  • Analytics Cookies: To understand how visitors use the Service (see Section 5).
  • Security Cookies: To support fraud prevention and account protection.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may limit what the Service can do, including access to your account.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and quote requests
  • Provide, operate, and maintain the services you hire us for, including websites and applications we host
  • Manage your client account, invoices, and payments
  • Send transactional communications, such as invoice notices and payment receipts
  • Monitor and analyze usage to improve the Service
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, or fraud

We do not sell your personal data. We do not send marketing email unless you have asked to receive it, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area, our legal basis for processing Personal Data includes:

  • Performance of a contract: Processing necessary to provide the services you have engaged us for.
  • Legitimate interests: Analytics, security, and fraud prevention.
  • Legal compliance: Retaining records as required by applicable law.
  • Consent: Where you have given it, for example to cookies or to marketing email.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

The following providers may process your data only to perform services on our behalf:

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to measure traffic and usage. Google may collect data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, subject to Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google reCAPTCHA

Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which analyzes interaction data such as your IP address and browser behavior to tell people from automated traffic. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Authorize.net

Invoice payments are processed by Authorize.net, a payment gateway operated by Visa. Card data is sent directly to Authorize.net’s secure servers and is never stored on our systems. Authorize.net is PCI-DSS compliant; its privacy policy is at authorize.net/company/privacy.

6. Security of Your Data

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including:

  • TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
  • Payment card data processed directly by Authorize.net and never stored on our servers
  • Hashed storage of account passwords
  • Access to personal data restricted to authorized personnel

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We work to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users and the applicable authorities as required by law, within the timeframes those laws specify.

7. Data Retention

We keep Personal Data only as long as needed for the purposes described here, or as required by law. Invoice and payment records are retained in accordance with tax and accounting regulations. Data we hold on behalf of clients, inside websites and applications we host, is retained for as long as that service is active. You may request deletion of your data subject to our legal retention obligations (see Section 10).

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

  • Right to Know: Request the categories and specific pieces of personal data we have collected about you.
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale: We do not sell personal data, so no opt-out is needed, but you may contact us to confirm this at any time.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

9. Nevada Privacy Rights (SB 220)

Nevada residents have the right to opt out of the sale of their personal data. We do not sell personal data. If you have questions or wish to submit a verified request, contact us using the information in Section 13.

10. Your Data Rights (GDPR / General)

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your Personal Data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Restriction: Request that we limit how we process your data.
  • Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 13. Clients can also update their own details at any time from the client account area.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
